I have nothing wrong with A-Rod hitting a homerun there, he did give Mariano another day off after that home run. GimmeShelter Posted September 4, 2008 Share Posted September 4, 2008 You're from a different planet. Cano was 3rd in OPS of all 2nd baseman in 2007. Wright was 4th of all 3rd baseman. Wrights a better player, but taking position value into account (a concept you and scotty just cant wrap your minds around) Cano was just as valuable as Wright was up until this season. And if you're an OPS guy, Cano was even more valuable than Wright in 2007. Wright's 2007 OPS was 30 points higher than Cano's. 30 points. Wright's OPS in fact has been higher every season of his career other than his rookie season in which he played 69 games than Cano's best OPS season which was 2006. Wright in a ever so slight down year by his lofty standards still has a higher OPS than Cano has ever posted. Cano for now is a guy who got his money and digressed as a player.
