Yankees fielding offers for Nady, Swisher

The incentive is partly that Young wants out, and is being a little bitch about switching to 3rd.

That said the latest reports think that the Rangers are looking for a young 3B as part of a deal. Also, Young has said he'd be willing to move back to 2B.

What about tossing in Eric Duncan? He used to be sought after...

Yeah, apparently he does want out, but at the same time, you still have to give the Rangers equal value or close to equal value. Offering them two spare pieces with little value won't get it done. There's 30 other teams out there the Texas can explore a trade with. At this point in their careers, Swisher and Kennedy will get you a bag of rocks.

True but young as a horrific defensive SS ( yes he is worse than Jeter) and with that contract is almost as overrated as a certain other SS who's salary is off the charts.

I could be wrong but he won't garner the return one would think unless Texas eats some of his salary.

Not sure Duncan can play 3rd. Texas has Chris Davis anyway unless Blaylock is moving.

"The team's (Braves) next step will be to add a bat, and the club has spoken with the Yankees about their available hitters, Xavier Nady and Nick Swisher, sources said."

by Ken Rosenthal, FoxSports

Who are we talking about getting in return? Prospects?

He was converted from 3B when the Yankees signed ARod, so yes, he can.

Texas is looking for a 3B. They are trading Young because he doesn't want to move over to third.

Right forgot that but let's face it he is no longer a promising prospect. I think Blaylock or Chris Davis would man 3B before they would consider Eric Duncan. I imagine Blaylocks elbow is gonna limit him to DH or 1B if Davis has to play 3rd.
