vanDoug
Yeah, the poor sad sack Cubs get even more desperate. What a difference a year makes. Last year won the division and huge expectations going into the post season. Fizzled again. This year, not much in the way of expectations, at least after May. Whos knows, these *&^%s could surprise us all. I'm ready.

Wells and Hart have stepped up shown they could belong in the bigs for good. They can bring another kid up from the system and spot start. If things get really desperate they can give Marshall a couple starts but it would suck to take him out of the pen where he's been really effective. Lou put asshat Heilman in to close and he didn't throw the game away, but that's because he only left him in for 4 batters and we had a 4 run lead. Net: 4 batters, 2 homers, 1 K, 1 ground out. I guess we're lucky he only let half the guys he faced take him yard and even more lucky there was nobody on when they did.
