80gonyjets51
"He becomes a different quarterback when he doesn't have wide-open guys and you hit him three or four times," Pryce said. "He was skittish. I've never seen him like that. In the first half, he was terrified." http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2011/01/jets-trevor-pryce-on-tom-brady-he-was-terrified/1?csp=34 That's what happens when we execute our game plan to perfection! Maxman
I was thinking about Pryce. Looks like he made the right decision to move from Balt to the Jets. He gets paid for at least one more game.
kelticwizard
The announcers on TV mentioned that, that not only was Brady getting sacked but that he was getting hit on many plays that were not sacks, and that this was affecting him. Only thing is, they went overboard and, right in line with the "Praise Brady" theme we've been hearing from the sportscasters all week, they bent over backwards to emphasize that ANY QB is less effective when he is getting sacked and hit. Which is true enough, but when other QB's get sacked and hit often and their performance goes down, the announcers don't go on and on to emphasize it to the audience. Face it-the sportscasters were so set to see the Patriots go onto the SuperBowl that they felt compelled to make excuses for Brady when he plays bad. The man would always keep battling. He might lose effectiveness, but you're still talking about a guy that would rip near 300 yards passing on you and kill you with his legs as well. I watched him all year and he took a ton of hits but he was amazing. It was an absolute crime that Brady got the MVP over him. Vick had one of the best QB years I've ever seen behind a bad O-line.
