The Miami Dolphins are terrible.

I was of course ecstatic to see the Jets win today.  But I also had a great deal of joy improving to 3-1 against the Miami Dolphins, who showed the country on national TV just how lousy a franchise they are.  Let's count some of the reasons they are sh*tty, and feel free to add your own!

1.  Ryan Tannehill.  Today the Dolphin franchise QB completed an apalling 43 % of his throws (19-44) and was throwing wounded ducks out there on deep tosses.  What was supposed to be a career year out of the 4th year vet, shortly after inking a $77M deal ($21.5M guaranteed), has mostly been disastrous. His last two weeks he has attempted 93 passes but only totaled 485 yards (5.2 yards/attempt) for 4 TD's and 5 INT's.  Ouch.

2.  Ndamukong Suh.  Completely dominated by Brian Winters all day long.  Brushed aside by Ivory.  Only 3 tackles and no sacks.  He looks fat and slow, and is likely one more dirty play away from getting a suspension.  This after signing a $114M deal with nearly $60M guaranteed, the most expensive contract for a defensive player in NFL history.

3.  Joe Philbin.  Does anyone in the league get out-coached on a regular basis more than this guy?  And it came at the hands of a former interim coach for the Dolphins in Todd Bowles, which must be an additional gut punch for the Dolphin organization.  Miami was 0/12 on 3rd down and 0/4 on 4th down today.  They committed 3 turnovers.  They committed 9 penalties for 80 yards, and likely should have had more had the PI's committed by DB's covering Brandon Marshall been flagged.  Awful performance and I hope the Dolphins do not fire this guy so he can continue to be terrible at his job.

4.  Greg Jennings.  Dude looked 2 steps slow out there today.  He's 32 and he's toast.

5.  Front 7.  Dominated by our line all day long, losing nearly every battle at the point of attack.  Ivory set a London record with his 166-yard day.

6.  Overall, season long suckitude.  The Dolphins, at 1-3, have trailed by double digits in every game this season.  They came back on the lowly Redskins for their only victory so far, and overall have been outscored by 36 points.  The only AFC team ranked lower in Net Points?  The Jacksonville Jaguars.  Maybe the NFL should send both of those teams to London?
