  1. Super under-rated top-shelf rant right here. So much truth. So much pain. Thank you.
  2. This has been such a long ass rebuild. I'm beaten down. I just want to watch watchable, meaningful games all season. edit: And not be gaslighted by the coaching staff about how good we would be if only...
  3. All those turnovers. He was a fumbling machine. He couldn't sense the rush. Ints. He was color blind like early Vinny. He single-handedly cost Philly a sure playoff spot after we traded him.
  4. The team is old and injury prone and lacks depth except for DL. Future cap and future draft picks have been tapped all because JD, just like Macc, can't draft after the top few picks.
  5. I would have labeled Sanchez a miss. Dude was a turnover machine.
  6. Final tally Over the last 15 years, there have been 46 QBs selected in the first round. Here's the final tally: GRADE TOTAL PERCENT Home run 7 15% Solid result 3 6% Mixed result 9 19% Incomplete 4 8% Miss 23 50% If you combine home runs and solid/mixed results, that's 19 of 46 (41%) who at least left some level of positive impact. That's not necessarily an awful hit rate, considering the volatility of picks at every position. It's also not great! And it's obviously including a wide range of outcomes; Mark Sanchez and Deshaun Watson, for example, are both mixed results because their success was short-lived in their original homes, and yet the latter was far more productive during his days as a Texans starter. Sanchez got major help from a vaunted Jets defense during his two playoff runs; he was sloppy but occasionally clutch in four years as QB1. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2024-nfl-draft-regrading-every-first-round-qb-pick-of-last-15-years-from-justin-fields-to-mark-sanchez/

Notice they didn't ask Laken to be a plaintiff.

That whiff on Tebow. Yikes. That hurt.
  9. Almost every pro will play their asses off on a contract like this because - Pro football players play their asses off. But give this type of contract to someone looking to cash out and they might Laken it.
  10. I've said this before, regimes that do a long-ass gut and rebuild rarely remain to see it completed. You eventually need a new regime to reset the losing culture of the rebuild. There are many, many examples of this - SF, Cle, Mia, Hou, Jax, Cin, Det all had long rebuilds and then new regimes to make them successful. Soon to be on that list... ATL, Chi. ... Jets?
  11. Yeah, This is Joe's team and vision. He's been here forever in GM years. He's brought in some nice players but every team has some nice players after a 4 years of drafting in the top 10. That's not anything that's special. The hard part is filling out the rest of the roster with youth, depth and talent and a competent coaching staff.
  12. JD signed a bunch of old, expensive, injury risk vets that no one else wanted and overpaid for a below average guard and let our best pass rusher walk. All this, to patch holes of his own making. This isn't the home run that you think it is. It's like a double.
  13. This is JD's team. He's been here forever. The results have been a big failure so far. That's it.
