Redskins starting center Will Montgomery. I believe he is a contributor to the team's biggest disaster under Tannenbaum. IIRC, he arrived during the Kendall disaster. Montgomery looked adequate. He was a 2006 7th round G/C for the Panthers. Turner came to camp a little a little behind, a little more raw and ended up on the practice squad. The horror of Adrien Clarke prompted the ill fated Jacob Bender experiment. I'm not sure at what point Montgomery got there, but by later in the season he was the better option and got some starts and the line seemed much better. It may be that he arrived too late to learn the blocking schemes in time to start, but I thought he was in camp. By mid-2008 they had Faneca and Turner had passed him on the depth chart. Montgomery became a bubble guy, cut and brought back a few times until the 'skins picked him up.
