Enough Bellyaching About How You Don't Liike The Giants

Look, they're a New York team.

Besides, they played the Patriots in those Super Bowls, and if you're a Jets fan, there is nobody you like to see fall on their face more than the Patriots.

The Giants' victories over the Patriots is painful to the Beantown boosters in several ways.

First, there is no more agonizing experience for the Boston fan than to lose the big game to New York. None. They are under the delusion up there that Boston somehow ranks as some sort of equal to New York City and are out to prove it on the playing field, just as the Soviet Union was out to prove equality with the USA some years back by doping up their athletes for the Olympics. Every victory for a New York team over Boston in a big game is yet another laceration on a permanently open wound.

Without the Giants, the Patriots will have won FIVE Super Bowls in the last eleven years, including being declared the Greatest Team In History in 2007. With the Giants, the Patriots have won three Super Bowls, their "undefeated" season is a national joke and the way they are going they are in danger of being regarded as the reincarnation of the 80's Buffalo Bills.

Finally, one of the sweetest aspects of the Patriots' run has been the way they always beat Peyton Manning when they need to. Outside of one year, every time Peyton Manning got through with yet another record breaking season and met Brady in the playoffs, down went the Colts and the Pats fans could talk in oh-so-superior tones about having a QB who knows how to win the big one, as opposed to merely looking good in the record books. So who leads the New York team who smashed their "undefeated" season and who comes back to send the Pats into oblivion yet again? Peyton's Lesser Brother. Peyton's good-but-not-great brother. The Manning family gets them anyway.

If you're a Jet fan, you gotta love what the Giants and Eli have done to the Patriots.

The whole season for the giants changed with the Cruz 99 yard play that set all this in motion, the Cowboys let them over run them to a 21 point lead to only come back and fall short, just like they let them come back and steak the victory in Dallas a few weeks back. Atlanta's offense didnt even show up in the Wild Card game and they were still in the game in the 2nd half, in Green Bay the coach took some chances and failed on his face and Rodgers wasnt in on the point with his offensive boys, the Niners had the game up untill that huge mistake by that moron in the 4th which turned the whole tied of the game, and they still had a chance in OT , but stupid showed up again and they gave the Giants the game in OT, and last night even after a horrible first qtr. the Pats had the lead going into the 2nd half. all it took was a few miised passes and the whole game changed in a blink, If Welker makes that catch the Pats take more time off the clock and maybe hold the ball till the end with more points on the board. But it didnt happen and have to say the Giants took every gift and turned into points and victorys
