The Stars were not aligned.

After sleeping on that loss yesterday it reminded of boxing in the old days. You didn't have to beat the champion you have to crush them with flurry of punches to beat them on the scoreboard.

Pats were at home where we know the record 52-4 I think, lol, just think about that, just an amazing stat.

The Patriots have proven time & again they can overcome injuries, Belichick is a genius & he has arguably the GOAT at QB to run his game plan. As much as it bothers me that their Oline holds so much the game plan was amazing. Throw in 2 seconds vs our Dline. The Patriots Oline was just told "Grab them & don't let go for 2 seconds", it's too fast the refs won't call holding. In today's NFL you get more holding calls on running plays which really gives the great QBs a huge advantage as the weaker team is penalized for using their strength.

For the Jets overcoming injuries playing the Patriots is much tougher. First play of the game our bell cow star RB tweaks something. Ivory having no burst to run inside out really played into the Pats. Because Stacey is a plodder with zero speed & Powell was hurt we had no one to threaten the edge & Pats now squeezed everything inside & started getting more pressure & were able to bat balls down.

Then you had Pryor go down. Not many people talking about this but he was doing a really good job on Gronk. After that Gronk was dragging Gilchrist around like a puppy. Skrine got dinged & missed snaps, then Bailey, again, against Brady you need all hands on deck. 2 things that couldn't happen did with Ivory & Pryor & both had negative effects on us during the game.

We lost to the Super Bowl champions on their field & we had every opportunity to win it in the last 10 minutes & came up short. Hey, how would you like to be a Bills fan this morning?

Agree, the Jets have no reason to hang their heads today, they played like a professional football team, circus is gone, all games have been watchable, with Philly as the only possible exception

If the team continues to follow the plan, the stars will align in the next couple of years, maybe at the end of this year :) meaningful games in November is a good thing

Great post. The sky is not falling. A one possession loss on the road with a chance to win at the end? We already know this team can bounce back from adversity (Eagles loss). No danger of locker room disarray after this one.
