The Jets OL and it stands right now is improved from last yr.  The problem is we're not playing any games and nobody knows how Ryan Clady will be as the LT.  If we get a full season out of Clady, even with Breno and Winters in the lineup.

Improved how? Brick wasn't good, but Clady is an enormous question mark and Breno still sucks. Not to mention Winters is not good and Mangold's play will continue to slide. This team continues to ignore the line and it's going to come back to bite them.

It hasn't been ignored. We drafted around 25 developmental prospects. It's time one of them panned out. My money is on Qvale. I think Winters will take a big step this year, otherwise Dozier, or Harrison have their opportunity. One of them has a good chance at being good.

We have 16 linemen. Who wants the job? Art Shell jr? Ijalana still has potential.

Clady is due for a healthy year. It's not like he has a condition, or like he's always been injury prone. It's just the last couple of years of bad luck.

Okay. Maybe ignored is the wrong word, but it certainly hasn't been prioritized like it should be. Your post is full of hopes and dreams and nothing solid. Hoping one of these late round draft picks pans out is not the way to rebuild an aging and bad line, just like hoping Clady not only bounces back from another injury, but returns to form is kind of shooting for the moon.

Winters is a JAG and nothing more. He's serviceable but he's not good. "One of these guys has a good chance of being good" sounds more like a prayer than actual scouting. If any of them were good enough they'd have been playing by now.

Absolutely chock full of hopes and dreams, and only one of them needs to come true. Mid to late round linemen develop all the time. If none of them do then we've been doing something wrong.

These are developmental prospects. By definition they need to be developed. One, or two years is not too long to give them. If they didn't show any potential they would have been released by now.

Right. The point is the Jets need to stop taking developmental lineman and draft some that can come in and start day 1 like Brick and Mangold did. That's the whole point of my post. They're not going to repair an average to below average line with rainbows and unicorns.
