Smizzy
NFL | Madden not guaranteed Hall of Fame bust Fri, 3 Feb 2006 19:07:46 -0800 Mark Purdy, of the San Jose Mercury News, reports former Oakland Raiders head coach and current broadcaster John Madden is not a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame for several reasons. Some voters feel his ten seasons as head coach aren't long enough or feel he should have won more than one Super Bowl during that time-span. Former Raiders WR Tim Brown didn't help Madden's chances when he said, "I spent a long time in Raiderland and when you talk to the old guys who played under Madden, they say, `Look, if not for this guy, maybe we win three or four Super Bowls.' They actually think he may have hindered them." Ouch.

JerryK
I love an opportunity to state my opinion on this.... I don't care what the current league-approved criteria are, it's called the Hall of FAME, not the Hall of Rings....And who around the NFL has more fame? Nobody's lining up to buy Marino '06.
