We had a large vessel fire back in '09, the La Diva 104' Yacht. First due was clearing the crew quarters and the thing flashed. Luckily the Captain was a guy named Chris Cannon, he was about 6'6 250 and could probably put down his drink, snuff out his cigarette and Deadlift 700lbs cold. He grabbed a guy and literally tossed him out of the compartment onto the deck. Tye FF's gear was pretty burned up, and Chris burned his hand, yes singular, grabbing the dude. Command Staff wanted to WRITE HIM UP for not wearing PPE. No sh*t. After a talk with the Union, he got an award instead. They forget where they came from... I happy you are doing well in Melbourne. I'm considering heading to north Fla at some point. I can tell you stories of the write ups in my department for days!
