And since Dougie cares about keeping his job this year, that's perfect for him.

Whatever is left over would carryover to 2025 anyway, so making extra room this year doesn't hurt anything. If they have to convert money into 2025 that means they can’t afford the contracts in 2024 so yeah, overall would be more money then if they can fit it into 2024 - hence why maybe they’re holding off on the trade untiL next week when Adams might play

When we have Williams who is on 1 year deal coming off the cap plus the cap itself will undoubtedly get increased

I was just pointing out they can convert it to bonus even if they both fit this year. I assume they think this players will help them win so they want them un house rather than hoping they don't show for extra weeks so they don't have to kick some cap to next year. choon328
Breece isn't getting a 2nd contract here. Investing in a RB who has anyway had knee problems and is struggling this year is a terrible idea

You don't hire Hackett to get Aaron Rodgers and then not trade for Davante Adams when he demands a trade and prefers the Jets. Especially after Rodgers took a pay cut to make adding players around him easier. He has to get this one done. I mean I'm not going to hang JD if he DOESN'T end up getting it done. Things happen. But he has to try, right? It makes too much sense not to try.
