The Falcons reportedly asked for RB Danny Ware during talks about a trade that would've sent DeAngelo Hall to the Giants.

The Giants reportedly backed out of the deal because they didn't want to give Ware up. A physically gifted runner, Ware nearly made the Jets last summer, but he's struggled to stay healthy. It appears the Giants will keep him on the roster as a fourth-stringer. That would spell the end for Reuben Droughns.

and we shouldve kept him and then trade him for someone.

Why is his value so high?

Bay Area news

Most of the Giants weekend has been centered some 3,000 miles away in Oakland.

First the Raiders reportedly will trade their second-round choice to Atlanta for CB DeAngelo Hall.

Now we said way back at the Combine that the Giants would have problems obtaining Hall, and not because of what Atlanta would demand in return.

In fact the Giants did offer their first-round pick (No. 31) for Hall, but according to sources backed off when the Falcons wanted RB Danny Ware as well.

Atlanta came back with a request for the No. 1 and Grey Ruegamer, but by that time the reality had set in with the Giants. Hall would be a menace to their cap, a potential problem in their docile locker room and a headache for the coaches.

The other Oakland addition is DT William Joseph, who the Raiders signed despite some back problems (reportedly herniated discs) that saw him fail his physical with at least one other team.

of course no links or sources anywhere else to verify this blogs statement.
