Patriots after CB Duane Starks?

It's PFT but they actually broke the Moss trade.... maybe they've got a legit source for once...

According to profootballtalk.com

CARDS SWAPPING STARKS TO PATS?

A league source tells us that the Arizona Cardinals and the New England Patriots are close to working out a trade for cornerback Duane Starks.

In return, the Cards would get New England's third-round pick. The teams also would flip-flop their fifth-round selections in the upcoming draft, a benefit for the Pats, who draft at the bottom of the round.

The deal, we're told, hinges on whether Starks will re-do his contract. The Pats have limited wiggle room under the cap, and Starks might not be inclined to cooperate, which could kill the deal.

Hey if the 5'10", 174 lb midget doesn't want to re-do his contract to play with the World Champions, the F-him.

Seriously RS, don't know too much about him. Would this be a good deal?

Ask Ham or Riggo, they'd know better than me, I've only seen a little of the guy.

It would be an interesting deal.

Starks is 30. A few years ago he was considered in the upper echelon of CBs. Won a SB with Baltimore. Then went to Arizona and his career got lost in the luggage.

He's been mediocre for a few years now, but has pedigree. If BB thinks he's a reclamation project and he's right, it would be a steal. If he can play passably, the last pick of the 3rd and upgrading our own 5th isn't much to pay.

If he keeps playing like he did this year, it would be a bad move.
