vanDoug
Cubs just dropped 8th straight. Who do they think they are? The Royals? When's football start? d
The Troll
This team has quit trying under Dusty Baker. If Baker makes it to the end of the season, Hendry should go with him. ******* ridiculous. The Cubs are pissing their season away and no one in the organization seems to give a sh*t.
NJ
I usually have some type of brilliant game plan I would put in place to turn this ship around. I gotta say - I'm lost - don't know where to start with this basket of dung. 1.) Baker has to go - no 2 ways about it. He won't play the youngsters and the oldsters ain't coming close to cutting it. He's also not a good tactical manager and is far too worried about being everybody's buddy. Get him outta here - but it wont do any good to pull that trigger now. I really think next years line-up could look like this: 1B - Lee 2B - Walker - but they probably won't keep his option. SS - Ronny Cedeno 3B - A-Ram LF - Lawton/Murton CF - Felix Pie RF - Hairston/Mr.X (Vet with good slg. pct./OBP C - Barrett SP's - Prior, Zambrano, Wood (if clean up surgery works) - and I don't know who else. Pen - Wuertz, maybe Maddux (if he'd buy into it) I don't know if any of the rest of them will be around and I don't know if I'd want them. I don't know who we get to manage them. Has to be somebody that will put up with youth. Really bummed, but that will only last for another week and then I can revert to viewing them as the loveable losers. As sick and tired as I am doing that. Thank God it's football season.
