JetNation
The Mets are moving along negotiations with Derek Lowe, reportedly with a three-year offer in the $36 million range for the free-agent pitcher. More...
PFSIKH
How is their defense? Lowe needs a good D behind him or he gets rattled. He will be good for about 36 wins over those three years.

Good deal for Lowe. Mets need to work fielding those ground balls. Lowe is a mudder!

Mets defense (infield wise) is not a issue other than Delgado at 1B. Pending what our 2b situation ends up being, that could change. I would be very happy with a rotation of Santana, Pelfrey, Lowe , Maine and TBD.
DaBrick Wall
Nice little rotation they have going there if Lowe comes aboard. If the Mets don't win the East this year, look out.
Maxman
That is more than I thought he would get. But I guess the Yankees kind of reconfigured the landscape with some of their deals. I like Lowe, he is steady and would be a good middle of the rotation addition for the Mets.
