Today's Jets are to the Patriots as Yesterday's Patriots were to the Colts.

Today's Jets and the dynastic Patriots of the past have one common trait, the defense sets the tone.

One team has a better offense, some might say a historic offense, but the old adage rings true today as it did in 2001 or has ever done. Defense wins championships.

One team seems to make the plays at the key time and does not beat itself. That team also has the better defense. It has the better defense by a lot.

While the other team makes enough mistakes to leave their fans with a hand full of "what-ifs" to contemplate on what went wrong. The other team is left with, "we need to execute better."

meh, i still think if you play that game 10 times you win 8 of em..

Pats were arrogant to a fault, fake punt at the 45 at the end of the half? 8 minute drive down 10 with 12 minutes to go? You guys actually out gained us, and kept the ball longer, we were just 4/4 in the red zone, which is atypical frankly..
