"@JennyVrentas: Jets signed undrafted free agent DT Matt Hardison. He spent his 1st three college seasons at Rutgers and finished at Delaware. #nyj"

He was a rookie camp tryout. Roster is now at maximum occupancy.

Go Jets!

Post image for NY Jets Sign DT Matt Hardison

The New York Jets have signed another undrafted free agent (UDFA).  Here is the official release from the team:

The New York Jets have signed undrafted free agent DT Matt Hardison. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Hardison (6-4/285/Freehold, NJ/Delaware) participated in the Jets rookie minicamp as a tryout player on May 4-6.  In two seasons at Delaware, Hardison played in 24 games, recording 29 tackles, including 6.5 for a loss. Hardison spent his first three collegiate seasons at Rutgers, but did not see game action.

Here is a thread on Matt Hardison from our New York Jets message board.
