  1. If you watched the film you would see the only open throws all year were tight windows like they had Sunday. He took the check down or threw the ball away all year until Sunday. The only question is if that was Zack or the coaches. I have heard the coaches preach that in the past so it is plausible to think he was following their plan. If you want to play ball control football then you can't have dropped passes or penalties. It doesn't work. You also can't run on first and second down then throw a safe pass on 3rd and long. I don't want to hear about last year because he has been light years better this year. I haven't seen hardly any obvious mistakes or horrible misthrows this year. To me that means he's maintained his composure this year. You don't know if he could have been hitting tight windows this year because he hasn't attempted to throw into any. It would seem he also was slowing down his own processer trying to be to cautious. So now the only question is if the lack of pressure is from circumstance or it was a conscious decision which is repeatable. I guess we should have a better idea by the end of the year as the pressure should mount with each successful game.
  2. What are you like clairvoyant? You called it.
  3. His dad might give him a run for his money. The Jets have had quite a few peaches in their time. Sparano, Heimerdinger, Erhardt. Schottenheimer? It's like a veritable who's who.
  4. Apparently it was premeditated, and he had players form a wall to force the returner into the trip. That's what I call above and beyond.
  5. Yes I always thought Mangenius should have been signed as the GM. He built a great roster except for QB. Even now I think he could do it. I also think Saleh is a good HC but needs a weaselly control freak like Mangini as GM. Speaking of which. Does anyone else think Saleh is going to become the next Pete Carrol? I think he needs less control over the offense but he still seems to check all the other boxes to me. We need an OC with some balls. I mean someday we will get an OC that knows you're aloud to mislead the other team. Maybe even exploit their tendencies. Hello. You play to win the game.
  6. It's been all downhill since we fired Sal Alosi. Tongue in cheek but does it not seriously seem like we've had an abnormal amount of injuries since then?
  7. Rypien threw 2 TDs in one game twice...you heard that right. 2 TDs in one game. He threw 4 picks in both of those games but come on that's like 14 points right there. 2 field goals and were talking 20 points...playoffs are still possible.
  8. I never said you couldn't, I said it implied that you would. Now if I said that your wife was reluctant to run off with your best friend you wouldn't be upset right? It basically means she said no.
  9. Really. How many times have you reluctantly refused to do anything?
  10. First of all, this tweet was not a quote but an opinion of Zach's mindset. Secondly, reluctant to play does not mean refusal to play. Reluctantly specifically implies compliance. It never ceases to amaze me how people twist words to mean what they want. Well it doesn't amaze me but it does make me shake my head and chuckle a little.
  11. I've been waiting to see what Brownlee could do. I've seen what Ruckert can do and I've been waiting to see more of it. Is it just me or does this team always wait too long to switch anything whether it be players or plays? God forbid a running play works, it means we're going to see 4 runs in a row. Uzomah catches a pass and he gets another 3 games.
  12. You know he will. Even Darnold and Sanchez both got numerous chances. Watch the film and you can see unmistakable improvement from Zach in horrible circumstances. The league will not give up on a talented QB that's still improving...even if some people think he can't throw a football.
