slats
Sanchez was checked for concussion after Cowboys game Posted by Mike Florio on September 13, 2011, 6:01 PM EDT Getty Images Here’s an interesting (at least to me, hopefully to you) footnote to the Sunday night opening game on NBC. Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was checked after the game for a concussion. He told ESPN Radio, via Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, that Sanchez underwent “some baseline tests” after the game. Sanchez says he has no concussion. Per Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, Sanchez “appeared groggy” at times when talking to the media after the game, and that he looked away from the bright TV lights. Cimini said that Sanchez also spent “an inordinate amount of time” in the trainer’s room. If Sanchez had been diagnosed with a concussion, he would have found himself in the gears of the league’s concussion protocol, which would have kept him from practicing or playing until cleared by doctors. That’s good news for Sanchez, and for the Jets. If Sanchez couldn’t play, his replacement would be 54-year-old (give or take a decade) Mark Brunell. JiFtheOracle
If Brunnell plays, we need to bring back Visa.
Il Mostro
Could have had Woody on the team Irrelevant -- Ware beat Brick like a rented mule, too. So, it is not just on Hunter. By the way, Woody retired because he is physically *done*. Wise up.
Maxman
Mark can't remember if he studied for the concussion test. That's not a good sign.
