WR Floyd scheduled to visit Jets

the best notre dame skill position player of the last 20 years is currently pitching for the cubs.

Agreed. Golden Tate could still emerge. But its doubtable.

The term "NFL ready" due to the school or offense a player played in is overrated these days. Really depends on WR skills/ability to win one on one matchups. Thats what make WR so hard to predict. Colston did this from day one. However he was only asked to do one thing and did it extremely well. That is the new NFL though. Slot WR's that can win the one on one matchups. It has nothing to do with the school they played for or the offense they were in. Floyd is the classic example. He will make a nice big bodied slot WR from day one so long as his route running is as good as it appeared to be in college. However, I dont think he will ever be able to line up on the outside and run the whole route tree. Certainly not from day one.
