Jetsfan80
http://www.usatoday....ld-cup/1892989/ Gus Johnson will make you want to watch soccer Game On! Lionel Messi, Mr. Clutch. HEART. BREAK. CITY. England loses to Argentina in penalties. These phrases are all almost guaranteed to be heard during a Fox soccer telecast in the future, as Gus Johnson will begin calling matches. Johnson's debut match is Feb. 13 between Real Madrid and Manchester United in the Champions League Round of 16. After securing the rights to the 2018 and 2022 World Cup, Fox Sports president Eric Shanks wanted to leave his mark on the game. So he brought in Gus Johnson. "This is not something that is temporary," Shanks said in an interview with Sports Illustrated. "This is something we are going to work at. It isn't an Olympic assignment where he does the luge for two weeks and then we don't hear from that announcer for the next four years. This is something we are serious about and something we will continue to work at. Based on the radio games and the practice games Gus has done, I think this is going to work." Whether it works or not remains to be seen. There is absolutely no doubt that Johnson calling a soccer match will be entertaining, regardless of your fandom. Curious what a Johnson soccer match sounds like? Wonder no more!

Panzer Division Marduk
If someone seriously needs a certain commentator in order to want to watch any sport, then they're either a f**king cretin, or Leo Varadkar.
