bitonti
The Jets would have been lucky to be 8-8 let alone playing for the AFCE title. going into december any team playing .500 football would be leading the division or close to it. Let's not pretend the Pats were some sort of juggernaut. recently they have played better but Herm teams always peak later in the year. With a healthy Chad they would have been right in the thick of things. as for Mawae it's not that hard. He's still very good and I would put him up against the Olin Kruetz's and Jeff Saturday's of the world no questions asked. they restructure him, draft a replacement, 3 or 4 years from now mawae retires a 10 time pro bowler, possible HOF'er and they make the transition to youth. PatsFanTX
but Herm teams always peak later in the year. You're grasping at straws today buddy. Hermy's teams "peak later in the year"? You mean like last year when they stormed down the stretch at 1-3 with key losses to the Pats and Steelers and an embarrassing loss to the Rams? Come on bit, at least get your facts straight.
Garb
Assmops second favorite team is the Lions? There you have it folks - Assmop enjoys being miserable.

Want to try again bit? at the end of the day it's all speculation how the Jets would have done if X,Y,Z - no one can prove anything. my point is that long-term this team is not as bad as it seems right now. Get a QB and some injured guys back you will be surprised how quickly the Jets will be nipping at the Pats heels again. Oh they will be underrated for sure but that's their MO.
