Sperm Edwards
Is it just me or does the title insinuate that this will be about someone's opinion that the Jets should give Winslow a contract for more than just this season?
JiFtheOracle
Is it just me or does the title insinuate that this will be about someone's opinion that the Jets should give Winslow a contract for more than just this season? Yes, yes it does...but the article is more about preserving his body and making sure he's ready to play the entire season instead of rushing him into action. pedro55
I think taking it slow is good, but I'm not sure what you're getting with a young guy who is trying to prove himself and he's that out of shape. There is a reason the guy has been a disappointment and a lot of it has been his attitude. You would think not playing and being dumped would make him work harder. It doesn't seem to have done that for him. It's one thing if his knee isn't holding up. It's another that he's just not in shape yet.
kelticwizard
He's apparently in good enough shape to impress in workouts and get himself a contract. I don't think he can have too much farther to go in his conditioning to be ready for training camp, which is several weeks away.
#27TheDominator
Sounded like he was talking about his knee to me. When people say they aren't "in football shape" that means they think their conditioning is good, but they just aren't ready for full contact. That isn't unusual, especially after a year off.
