Looks like Jets' David Harris will play vs. Bengals, Jordan Jenkins won't | Full injury report

FLORHAM PARK — The Jets on Thursday held their final full practice in preparation for Sunday's season opener against the Bengals

Below is what we noticed about their injured players during the 30-minute open portion of practice, plus Thursday's complete injury report.

After practice, Jets coach Todd Bowles said defensive end Leonard Williams "should be" fine for Sunday. Bowles said inside linebackers David Harris and Bruce Carter are "still up in the air." Bowles also said it's "not yet" safe to say that outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins won't play Sunday.

Here's a rundown of the injuries, along with the full Thursday injury report:

• MLB David Harris (bruised shoulder): After being limited in Wednesday's practice, Harris had his helmet during warmups Thursday. So it looked like he'd do at least something Thursday. And it looks like he'll play Sunday (or so we think). Bowles said Harris was limited Thursday in his practice participation.

"He's running, but I've got to see a lot more than that," Bowles said. "He's still got to use [his shoulder] and put pressure on it and everything else. He's still got a little bit of time."

But how can Harris show this during Friday's non-contact walk-through?

"I'm going to make him show it," Bowles said. "He'll do some things to make sure that I can use him Sunday or not use him."

• OLB Jordan Jenkins (calf): The rookie, a presumptive starter, didn't practice Wednesday and didn't have his helmet Thursday during warmups. Looks like he won't practice Thursday and won't play Sunday. Expect Mike Catapano to replace him in the starting lineup. Bowles said Jenkins indeed didn't practice Thursday

• CB Darryl Roberts (foot): Waiver claim corner didn't practice Wednesday and didn't have his helmet Thursday. Not that he was going to be a major part of the Jets' Sunday game plan anyway. He might not have even been active, if healthy. Bowles said Roberts didn't practice Thursday.

• QB Bryce Petty (bruised throwing shoulder): No. 3 quarterback, who wasn't going to be active Sunday anyway, didn't practice Wednesday and didn't have his helmet Thursday. No surprise. He should be recovered in a week or two, according to what Bowles has said. Bowles said Petty didn't practice Thursday.

On injuries…

(Bryce) Petty, Jordan Jenkins and (Darryl) Roberts did not practice. (David) Harris, (Bruce) Carter, and (Leonard) Williams were limited.

On if Brandon Marshall practiced full today…

Yes.

On if Williams will be fine for the game…

He should be.

On the status of Carter and Harris…

Still up in the air.

On whether it safe to say Jordan Jenkins will not play Sunday…

Not yet, no.

On what Harris needs to show to convince him he can play versus Cincinnati…

He’s running, but I’ve got to see a lot more than that. (He’s) still got to use it and put pressure on it and everyting else. So he’s still got a little bit of time.

On how Harris can demonstrate he’s healthy in a non-contact practice…

I’m going to make him show it.

On how Harris can show he’s ready…

He’ll do some things to make sure that I can use him Sunday, or not use him.

Harris will hit full speed with that shoulder and not show any pain...no matter how much it hurts. I can count the games he's missed on one hand.
