So did Kotite, with Eagles. But I agree with your point, Woody couldn't pick up a newspaper.

Woody as owner, every single one was a coordinator, none have ever been a head coach. Can't count Bowles for a game with Miami.

Sad to say, but as long as Woody continues to operate the Jets the same way, all you are going to get here are first timers looking for their big chance. No successful, type A personality, wants to work for an idiot. Not in any business, not just the NFL.

There's a similar trend when it comes to Woody picking his General Managers.

Backtracking the most recent ones, Mac, Idzick, Tannenbaum, Bradway................none had ever been an NFL GM before.

Experience at the most important positions of the football organization, does not seem to be something Woody places great importance in.

true enough about the lack of head coaching or gm experience of the jet front office.  but the thing is how of those bellichicken types are there?  i mean he was a successful dc and then a so-so hc before finally landing with the patsies and still being young enough (50-55) to establish a good foundation for the team.  maybe the jets can look at mora jr, or kiffin, or gruden, or haley etc if they are intent on launching bowles.
