Herbert & Fromme are the wildcards in this upcoming draft for our NY Jets.

Every team drafting behind the Jets at 11 are in need of a QB. Raiders (Carr), Indy (Brissett), Tampa (Winston), Denver. Would you be happy staying with Carr, Brissett or Winston without giving them competition? 

Best case scenario. The QB guru Chuckie falls in love with Herbert or Fromme & sees them as more of a fit for his WCO than Carr. Gruden wants his Rich Gannon but there's someone else in the division lurking & he's under a lot more heat than the 10 year contracted Gruden.

And that's John Elway. The Broncos are stale as 2 week old bread & need something to excite the fan base. We can all argue the compensation but the Broncos pick at 46 in the 2nd round is a given. 

With the 15th pick in the 2020 NFL draft the NY Jets select TRISTAN WIRFS tackle IOWA. 

With the 46th pick in the 2020 NFL draft the NY Jets select TYLER BIADESZ center Wisconsin. 

With the 48th pick in the 2020 NFL draft the NY Jets select TRAVIS ETIENNE RB Clemson.

2 Olineman from Olineman universities. 

We move onto the 3rd round:

With the 68th pick in the 2020 NFL draft the NY Jets select Brandon Aiyuk WR Arizona State

With the 79th pick in the 2020 NFL draft the NY Jets select Curtis Weaver DE/OLB Boise State

With the 110th pick in the 2020 NFL draft the NY Jets select Bryan Edwards WR South Carolina 

You guys wanted Oline & WRs? There you go, with a edge Rusher for good measure & a replacement for Bell in 2021.

I think we need to place a moratorium on mock drafts that involve senseless and unrealistic trade scenarios.  How about just mock it as it stands and stop the fantasy stuff?

Drew Lock played 5 games last year - 7 touchdowns, 3 picks. Nothing eye popping but taking care of the ball like that and completing 64% of his passes (really just the KC game was a clunker) has to be encouraging for the Broncos for a guy who was mostly an arm talent prospect. Would be surprised if they take a QB.

I don't see the Broncos taking a QB unless one falls in their lap when they're on the clock.  They're not moving up for someone like Herbert or Fromme.  Why would they?  If it were Burrow or Tua that might be a different story but Herbert and Fromme are similar caliber prospects to what they have now with Drew Lock....and Lock has already proven, in a small sample size of games, that he's a fit for the NFL game.

As for Winston, let's see what happens with his free agency and if Tampa brings him back.  I think they almost have to.  If they let him walk and sign a second rung QB as a placeholder (think a Fitz or McCown type guy) then they're telling the entire NFL that they're looking to Draft a QB.  And, unless they make a power move into the Top 5-10, I wouldn't see Tampa getting any of the Top 2 or 3 QB prospects.

The Raiders with Carr are an interesting case, but Carr actually had an EXCELLENT season.

Highest Rating, highest QBR, most yards and highest completion % of his ENTIRE CAREER (6 seasons). So to your question, "would you be happy staying with Carr?"  Yes.

Oh my fellow Jetsters. 

Its like you guys have never witnessed the crazy that is the NFL draft. 

Just a feeling. This one will be a doozy. A lot of crazy sh*t when there's so much obvious cream at the top & a deep 2nd layer of chocolate. 

If you go, I think its gonna be a wild ride with Joey D & the Jets.
