If Smith doesn’t get hurt at all this season and Olu goes on to have a 10+ year starting career here, then this is a great draft pick.

Olu’s production or lack thereof this season will need be the measuring stick for whether this was a good draft pick or not….his career will indicate that.

He plays the second most important position on the field, if he’s good for 10+ years, Year 1 don’t mean sh*t.

Tyron Smith hasn’t played 16 games since 2015 .      The last two even years hasn’t even played five games .https://www.nfl.com/players/tyron-smith/stats/career

There is a reason they  drafted Olu at 11 instead of drafting the generational talent instead.    He’s going to have to play this year at some point.

Defense lineman always have the advantage without pads on.   It’s a whole different game when the pads come on .   Only than can you judge any offense lineman.

i dont believe you should lose your job over injuries. if Smith is playing good he gets his job back.

plus that is a bad look to future FAs looking to come here. you win the Job in TC. your playing good in the season and get hurt. now a high drafted rookie fills in for you and plays good to and you lose your job when you come back. not good.
