Herm was all about the veterans. Country club and not losing their starting position. The Vet had to be on IR for a kid to play.

Not to defend Herm but the Cotch that is here this year is a different guy. Clearly more focused. He did win that award for being the most dedicated during the offseason workouts.

amazing how finally playing for a coach that may actually give you playing time can motive you. i'd argue the "spark" you see this year is because he knew for once he'd finally get a shot. pretty tough to be most dedicated when coach slaw will never even look your way in drills because he's too busy reaching down j-mac's shorts.

all we knew last year of who was playing well in practices was by what Herm said..
