Offers for Ohka

Dec 29 - Tomo Ohka has received contract offers from four undisclosed clubs -- either for one year or multiple years -- since the winter meetings ended three weeks ago, reports ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick.

The Mets, who failed to sign Barry Zito and Jeff Suppan and appear to have little interest in Mark Mulder, could jump into the mix. GM Omar Minaya is familiar with Ohka from their days in Montreal. Ohka had his best career season with the Expos in 2002, when he went 13-8 with a 3.18 ERA.

Boston talked to agent Jim Masteralexis about a bullpen role earlier this winter, but Ohka wants to be a starter.
