Mavrik
Good luck to you Yanks fans. Should be interested series and considering we play each other 7 times in the next 11 days should make for some good baseball. Tigers started out of the gate hot yesterday, but hopefully they can keep it up.

Maxman
It is definitely an important series. The Tigers are defintely not scared of the Yankees -- we learned that last year.
penningtonfan82
Last night wasn't telling at all, considering the Yanks had Mussina out there, who has been getting slapped around for the most part, all season long. And the Tigers had Verlander, who probably is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Even as a Yankees fan, on paper you could tell that the Yankees probably wouldn't have won that game last night. As for tonight, Pettitte's a horse in the second half of the season. I think only Johan Santana has a better second half record. Tonight should show more of what the Yankees are made of, and how they will react to these tigers. Tigers are a good team, and they aren't afraid of the Yanks. Tonight is going to make for amazing baseball.
faba
Tigers and Yanks can certainly put on some offensive displays as two of the best offensive teams in all of baseball.
