Jade Green Posted June 19, 2008 Share Posted June 19, 2008 The New York Jets have signed free agent S Cameron Worrell. The announcement was made by Jets' general manager Mike Tannenbaum. Worrell (5-11, 194/Fresno State/Merced County, CA), a five-year NFL veteran, spent the 2007 season with the Miami Dolphins, appearing in 12 games, making seven starts and collecting 56 tackles. He originally entered the NFL with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2003, appearing in 46 games in four seasons for the Bears and recording 20 tackles, two sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries on defense along with 45 special teams tackles. He also appeared in three postseason games in 2006, including Super Bowl XLI. In college, Worrell was a first-team All-WAC performer at safety at Fresno State.
