uart
http://yankees.lhblogs.com/2008/09/29/today-in-the-journal-news-384/ Mike Mussina won his 20th game and it sounds like he is ready to retire. Joba Chamberlain might be a full-time starter next season.
Zeebers
No Chance, he just scored his last big contract. Someone will be dumb enough to give him 3 years for 24-30 million. Congrats on wining 20 though, I've always admired him.
Arsis
he should pitch two more years. He is at 270 career wins two 15 win seasons and he is at 300. I would love for the yanks to give him a 2 year contract to be our #5 starter. As long as he is willing to be paid like a #5 starter.

You really believe he will want to be paid like a #5 starter, if he comes back? Heck, Pedro Martinez will not want to be paid like a #5, even though he performed like one. anskyruben
The Yankees would be stupid to let him go. Do not overpay, but keep him as a 5 starter. We already learned that someones bound to get hurt.

We already learned that someones bound to get hurt. Players have pride, you know. Arsis says that he would like him to win 15 games in each of the next two years. That is HARDLY the definition of a 5th starter. I know these are the Yankees, but players will not just go cheap because of that name.
Sharrow
#5 starter is league minimum salary on most teams.
