The attendance has been terrible. I can't imagine that the tickets are that expensive. Here are the average crowds the last 9 years with their league ranking in parenthesis.

2001: 11,332 (30th)

2002: 14,548 (27th)

2003: 14,930 (22nd)

2004: 12,693 (26th)

2005: -

2006: 12,709 (30th)

2007: 12,886 (28th)

2008: 13,640 (30th)

This season: 13,679 (30th).

They have the worst lease in sports history, even if they sellout which they never do, unless the Rangers are in town, they still lose money.

Wang has lost 20 million each year he's owned them and this year he's lost 50 million.

Despite that fact, he wants to keep them there, it's the town of Hemstead that is holding up his lighthouse project.

Ticket prices are pretty much in line with Bruins... 30 bucks for sh!tty seats,50 bucks for barely sh!tty seats. all the way up the line from there. It just isnt worth spending 50 bucks to watch a lousy team when its free at home.

NHL Division Changes if NYI move to KC IMO

KC to Central

Wash to Atlantic

Nashville to Southeast

Sounds good but I doubt Wang would move the fish, and he'll only sell them once he knows for sure his lighthouse project is a definate no go.

While it is close to that now, he still believes there is a chance, if not and he does sell nobody is going to buy them and keep them in long island with that building they play in.

KC has a brand new empty building and is hungry for a team, they say they will have one in 2 or 3 years.

No way does the NHL expand again at ecomic times like these, so I'd say the isle's are first on their list, followed by the yotes if they go under and sell.
