Official Bio

Strengths:

Outstanding athleticism --- A lanky frame with really long arms --- Fast and explosive with a burst --- Agile with great change of direction and balance --- A terror bending off the edge --- Excellent range --- Does a terrific job in pursuit and closes in a hurry --- Uses his hands well --- A reliable tackler and powerful hitter --- Smooth with fluid hips and is comfortable in space --- Offers both positional and schematic versatility.

Weaknesses:

Doesn't have the bulk that you look for --- Inconsistent and motor runs hot and cold --- Obvious strength deficiencies --- Does not hold up well against the run --- Struggles to disengage from blocks --- Can be too aggressive --- Questionable instincts --- Doesn't have much experience dropping in coverage --- Wasn't overly productive --- Durability issues.

Notes:

Was a three-year starter for the Tigers --- Named 2nd Team All-ACC as a senior, the first time he garnered all-conference notice --- Was also a track and basketball standout in high school --- 2008 season ended prematurely when he tore the ACL in his right knee and was hampered by other injuries throughout his college career --- Backed up the late Gaines Adams early on and was expected to follow in his footsteps but never quite lived up to that potential --- Talented prospect who may be a better athlete than football player --- Classic 'tweener whose best fit might come as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 front --- Could be better pro than college player if the light comes on and he is utilized properly.

I think ricky sapp is a risky pick, and also there will be a chance he will be gone and so will most 1st round talent pass rushing specialists. if we were to trade up and get a 3-4 pass rushing linebacker it would be brandon graham. all of those strengths/weaknesses u listed about sapp looks alot familiar to those of a similar de we chose not too long ago. (hint his first name starts with a v and ends with a n.) :bag:
