In all seriousness Bren, pull the cover off of the tank and see if the little flapper thing is sealed completely. I have seen the chain fall off of the lever and get trapped underneath the flapper which causes the toilet to keep running. Don't call a plumber just yet. One end hooks on to the handle that you flush the toilet with (small hole at the end) and the other end goes on the little rubber plunger at the bottom of the tank.
