Leberfeld makes ome fair points. But even as much as I dislike Edwards, you get the sense this bile is in part driven by Edwards playing favorites among the press. And clearly Leberfeld either doesn't play nice in the sandbox with his colleagues or doesn't have a good relationship with Edwards or both. Which doesn't mean he's wrong.

No matter-the more you see of Bollinger the less you like him. The OL excuse is so played out.Basically, they lost Mawae, who wasn't going to last forever, and Fabini, who pretty much sucked already. Granted-Mawae is a huge loss; having a guy of his speed and pulling ability is aces in a running game. But really, he wasn't a youngster coming into this year. They still have 3/5s of the opening day OL. ANd yet they were so devoid of depth that they cannot field a decent OL?I don't buy it.

Except to again note that the Jets seem to spend draft picks and FA bucks aplenty at DL and DB. Cannot for a second fault RObertson. But as to the rest of those DBs and DL (legree, Pouha)guys, most suck. And all the while they allowed the OL to slip and simply hoped these old guys would hang on. Other than the signing of Kendall, the only picks at OL were Cvaka and Yovonitz, which is a joke.

Meantime, we've had a revolving door of picks and FAs at DB-Damien Robinson, Donnie Abraham, Barrett, Rhodes, Coleman, Miller,Garnes, McGraw, Pagel, Law-and the DBs haven't done the job at all since Day 1 of Herm's term. In fact, the best CB we've had was Aaron Glenn, and Edwards couldn't wait to be done with him.

SOmeone has to explain again how a guy who played and suppsoedly coached DBs is so utterly worthless in getting them to do anything. The one thing Leberfeld is dead on about is in his supposed forte, with oodles of cap space on picks and FA, Edwards has been abysmal in making this unit any good.

Yeah the best CB's we had were Glenn and coleman in that order all I heard were how these two were cover corners and edwards wanted corners who came up and tackled in the run game. They gott rid of them for cap which till this day I do not buy. The Jets gave the Texans a RT who was very well regarded at that time and very young. The Jets could have and should have unloaded Jones and Lewis. It is not just this move though - it is all the moves since this front office got here. And we are definitly doomed for another 3 years after next year if they are brought back. I don't care who we get in the draft and free agency the Jets will be no better than 6-10 with this regime next year.
