He had an elite career but Denver just won the bowl w/out an elite QB. Peyton was simply along for the ride that was driven by an awesome defense. The Jets wasted a golden opportunity in a watered down AFC this season. It's pure fantasy to think our D is interchangeable with Denver's D. Denver neutralized a 15-1 superteam from another planet. Cam would've danced five times in our endzone, possibly in the first half. Denver posted 7 sacks. Von Miller alone had 2.5 sacks, two QB hits, a blocked pass, two huge strips -- one a game-changer, the other a game-winner. Jets couldn't stop Tyrod Taylor. It was his 4th straight pro bowl season, he was 1st team all-pro for the 2nd time in 3 years, and was the NFL's leading passer in yardage, while also completing 68% of his passes. At the time, he was one of the game's elite & very best QBs. So the point still kind of stands. The only exception was Flacco, and look at the post-season run he had to put together to get there. I agree Gannon had a really good year that year. As for Flacco, while maybe he's not elite, he's been a very good QB overall. People compare Carson Wentz to Flacco and I have to say I'd be thrilled if we ended up w/ a guy that good.
