Scott Dierking
Nope. Other than it may have been higher had Keller made the pro bowl or something. Isn't "playing time" a component that is used in determining the level of the pick awarded?
Sperm Edwards
Isn't "playing time" a component that is used in determining the level of the pick awarded? Actually I'm not sure how it applies here because he's injured. It's not like he was benched. Then again if it's a formula they may not allow for exceptions like injuries. #27TheDominator
NFL would rather have guys lose their legs than their head. Either way, the new rules have arguably made the game more dangerous. Guys haven't been killing themselves and willing their knees to science. That was the old complaint - see Dick Butkus. Head trauma is the injury du jour. Disagree. Head injuries shorten careers, lives and quality of life. Leg injuries shorten careers. Big difference, IMO.
Integrity28
I read somewhere that Keller's injury might be career threatening, apparently there is nerve damage. He's from my wife's home town - not a bag guy - hopefully he can recover and resume his career.
flgreen
The funny thing about this is the NFL, and the fan base, is all in an up roar about injuries in an extremely violent sport. And by the way, that's why it is so popular. A lot of the fans actually work in professions, iron worker, electricians, carpenters, ect that actually has more injuries, and deaths, then being a pro athlete. For considerably less money. Don't see to many congressman calling hearings because Joe Smith, carpenter, cut off three of his fingers while making $12.50 an hour. No TV coverage I guess
