Villain The Foe
http://www.ganggreennation.com/2014/5/18/5729244/jets-sign-a-j-edds Jets Sign A.J. Edds By John B on May 18 2014, 5:00p 23 Elsa Jake Steinberg the Jets have signed A.J. Edds. Edds reportedly impressed Rex Ryan during rookie minicamp. Even though he participated in this weekend's minicamp, Edds is actually not a rookie. He was a fourth round pick of the Dolphins in 2010. After missing his entire rookie season from an ACL tear, he was released. He has since appeared in 11 games for the Patriots and Colts and recorded 13 tackles in his career. Here is what SB Nation said about him in their 2010 Draft scouting report: AJ Edds, in many ways, is similar to former Hawkeye and Vikings starting weak side linebacker Chad Greenway. He has the size and frame of a run stuffer, but more than enough athletic ability to cover tight ends and running backs. He is a smart player that the Iowa coaching staff raves about when it comes to being a complete football player on and off the field. He may never be a superstar in the NFL, but he is a guy that does everything well and will be a reliable starter in the league for years. He needs to add bulk to his lower half however, as he is noticeably thin down there in comparison to most 240+ pound linebackers in the NFL. I see him as an outstanding strong side linebacker that has the potential to be a presence inside down the road. He will likely be taken in the 3rd-4th round region. BurnleyJet
Another one of those "nice story players", I would love to see one actually pan out, hopefully he will be one.
SenorGato
I liked Edds some coming out of Iowa. Rex sure does like his LBers tall.
Stonehands
Fits in the mold of trying to add speed to our linebacking corp.
#27TheDominator
He was supposedly a very good special teamer for the Colts, but blew out his knee in camp in 2012 He went out for the year the same time as Ijalana.
