Jets | Johnson comments on general manager shake up

Tue, 7 Feb 2006 13:57:11 -0800

Updating ongoing reports, the New York Jets announced the promotion of assistant general manager Mike Tannenbaum to general manager. He replaces Terry Bradway, who has agreed to remain with the team in a consulting position. Team chairman and CEO Woody Johnson said it was his decision to go in a new direction and it was mutually agreed that Bradway would step down as general manager. He'll serve as a consultant on player personnel and the NFL Draft. Johnson said Tannenbaum, along with new head coach Eric Mangini, will begin the Jets' new era together.

They need to can the useless Jay Cross to make the makeover complete.

Won't happen. He's at minimum because the Manhattan Project never happened. This way he's only costing Woody less than $1 mil per year.

If Manhattan Happened, he would have been given a $20 mil bonus.

Do the math - He isn't going anywhere!
