124 Posted April 5, 2006 Share Posted April 5, 2006 NFL | Sanders meets with Arena League Team Wed, 5 Apr 2006 14:02:42 -0700 Eric Ransom, of the Austin American-Statesman, reports former NFL CB Deion Sanders met with Austin Wranglers officials Wednesday, April 5, in Austin to discuss joining the Arena Football organization. Sanders and team officials did not specify what type of role he is seeking. "I'm very interested in arena football," Sanders said. "I love the game and have loved it for years. I really just have the time and commitment to give to it, so I'm exploring the opportunities." The signing period for Arena Football League free agents has passed for this year, but Sanders didn't rule out joining the Wranglers on the field.
