faba
So far only Mario Williams as the first pick for the Texans and Cleveland with Wimbley have signed their first pick. I put this out to show not to worry about the Jets not getting their top pick signed yet -we are in the same position as the entire league
SeniorFlaJet
We're not the same as the rest of the league. We have two first round picks and a high second hanging out there. The two first round picks are critical to the teams success this year and they have to be in there for the start of training. I still think that Bush and Young are going to wait till the last minute to sign and maybe even into training camp which will hold up the whole process. I am still confident they'll all get done fast. Only thing that concerns me is Brick's contract terms (not the timing) - we'll find out if it was Bradway or Tannenbaum who gave DFat that contract that as the #4 pick was, with incentives, potentially more lucrative than the #1 pick's contract (Palmer). I will say that when you give up what Bradway did to move up that high, you don't leave yourself with a lot of leverage. But our 2nd was a mid-2nd (17th pick in the round). Contracts that low don't have as much leeway. His will be the identical contract to the player before & after him, with the dollars halfway in between. There aren't any special bonuses/incentives no matter what his position is.
4HCrew
Mangold and Clemens should not be too hard to sign as they just fall into slots. D Brick is going to be very interesting when it comes to the terms and when the deal is done.
