serphnx
hey by the way Vince Young has won 4 games, Carr has won 3 - Young's passer rating is in the mid sixites. Let's not pour his bust for canton just yet. Carr has won 3 out of 11 games this year. Young has won 4 out of 8. Carr is a veteran. Young is a rookie. If you take out the first two games he's started, his QB rating will go up quite a bit (47.3 and 34.4, in the past 6 games he's only had 1 really bad game, a 30.2 against the Jaguars). VY has 8 TDs 8 INTs on the year, with 4 rush TDs. If one cent can get a pass for what was it, 4 TDs 9 INTs over a 6 game stretch, I think VY should be considered an elite QB too. Of course, if we're not using Chadinettes as a source for how good a QB is, yes, it's true nobody should be building a bust for VY in Canton right now. But it's also true, that more than likely, he will have a better career after 7 years than either Pennington or Carr, which is basically what the topic is in this thread. Yeah, and Dominic Rhodes has won 10 games this year compared to Edgerrin James' two. You are going to have a hard time convincing me that all four of those wins were because Houston has Vince Young instead of David Carr in there this year. You'd have about as much success convincing me that all of Buffalo's 5 wins are attributable to their having JP Losman instead of any number of others. I don't see how 4 wins are because of his singular skill in completing less than half his passes. He's still just a kid & should be in the league for a while, so he'll get plenty of opportunity to prove himself. But I don't see how you can attribute Tenn's wins to him like vs his 8-of-22 performance vs Philly to the play of Vince Young.
