Most overrated player in the NBA

Odom isnt better than Pippen, but Troll's argument is pretty ridiculous.

Jordan's greatness should never be questioned.

Jordan simply couldnt be stopped.

Never said he wasn't great, but he is not the greatest of all-time, something which is now seemingly universally accepted.

Wilt was better. Russell was better.

Wilt dominated 6'6 white guys. Wilt's an all time great, but he wasnt playing against anybody.

And if your argument is that Jordan only won with HOF'er Scottie Pippen by his side you have to say the same about Russell, who played with a handful.

To say that Lamar Odom is better than Scottie Pippen is even more bat**** insane than our Drew Brees/Pennington debate.

No it's really not. Pippen was a good complementary player but he was NOWHERE NEAR as good as people thought he was. He was a 3 who was a mediocre shooter and a below avg rebounder who knew how to play well with Jordon. Without jordan he wouldn't be CLOSE to a hall of famer.

make that 6'3 white guys. Shaq did that to. It doesn't make him the best of all time.

Russell won 5 more championships than Jordan, and people use the "MJ won 6 titles" as their main argument as to why Jordan is the GOAT. That argument holds no water. If you are using championships to justify the player, then Russell is the only logical choice.

IMO, Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest player to ever play the game, despite the fact that he only won one championship. Championships are not everything. Not in basketball, at least. But, when comparing all-time great players, people like to use the same logic that says Robert Horry is 6 times better than Kevin Garnett or Karl Malone.

Wilt was a man among boys. he didn't play on a level playing field and whenever he was presented with a player who could match up with him physically (Russell) he usually lost.

The first time Chamberlain and Russell met in the playoffs, Wilt outscored Bill by 81 points in the series.

Those are the only stats I can find for the two meeting head to head, although I have read articles that suggested Wilt outplayed Russell in nearly every series.

For his playoff career, Chamberlain averaged 22.5 PPG and 24.4 rebounds per game.

A choker, he was not.
