Alk
That's sad news. Being the 83rd. string center on my high school basketball team, I remember doing endless "Mikan drills" day after day at practice.
The Troll
I had sort of a weird feeling while I was watching SportCentury on Lou Gehrig this morning. I just felt like someone in sports was about to die. Sure enough, at the commercial, I turn it to ESPNEWS and Mikan's death was in the corner of the screen. Sort of freaked me out a little bit. shawn306
Let's give Shaq alot of credit here. Shaq found out that Mikan had been having financial troubles during his final days and has offered to pay for the funeral. Nice job by Shaq. I would bet you if you polled NBA players maybe 2% would have even knew who George Mikan was.
