The CRTC (Canadian Radio and Television Commission) mandates that a certain % of all radio and tv must have Canadian content. This is largely to promote Canadian artists, sports figures etc that might not normally get the exposure. So for every US channel I get the CRTC bundles in some half asssed Canadian crap that they somehow assume I'm going to watch. Ridiculous. Right now ESPN is only available in bars with satellites. But I understand some cable companies have applied to air ESPN. Great. They'll probably bundle it with the Anne Murray/Avril Lavigne/Alanis Morrissette Canadian Cooking Channel. Help me.
