Jetsfan80 Posted July 7, 2005 Share Posted July 7, 2005 The Mets need this one badly to take 3 of 4 from the Nats, move to a game above .500, and remain in the Wild Card Race, BARELY, before starting a 3-game set in Pittsburgh. The Nationals really don't need this win at all, since they have nothing they need to prove. 11th inning, Mets 2, Nationals 2. Let's go METS! Looper does not make it interesting, although he did allow a 2-out walk. 3-2 Mets, they take 3 of 4 from the Nationals (who, by the way, came into this game as the toughest team to beat in their own house), improve to 43-42, and could move into 3rd place in the wild card race if the Phillies lose tonight to Pittsburgh.
