Zeebers
There wasn't a lot of buzz surrounding him, and I don't think the Mets have the hype machine working for him, but this kid has been nothing short of sensational since being promoted. The most impressive thing about him is he's able to drive the ball to the opposite field with power and not many lefties have that ability. Is it too far fetched to say that the Mets could give him the first base job if Delgado is not retained?

It is rare to have a hitter come up and seem so versed in situational baseball. The Mets Minor League was disparaged after the Santana trade but the Kunz, AReyes, Evans and Murphys have contributed in a big way, and will have roles in the future. They may not be superstars, but can be serviceable major leaguer (Kunz better be the closer 2010 though), and that is important for the Mets. It allows then to develop a few of their own on the cheap, which in turn allows them to be a bigger player in Free Agency. The Mets should also get multiple compensation picks for losing Delgado and Perez after this year.

Yeah Scott you can see he has an idea of what he is doing at the plate and has a good eye for balls and strikes and will go the other way with the pitch-real key. Zeebers
yea he looks really good, might be the guy that makes mets make playoffs. I wouldn't go that far. Murphy's been great to watch, but its only about 35 ABs and he's more or less a platoon player to this point. Murphy being the reason the Mets make the playoffs is equivalent to saying the Yankee's offense is strugging because of Melky Cabrera. They're both small parts to the team. Besides, if the Mets do make the playoffs, Wright and Reyes would probably both finish in the top 5 in MVP voting.

Thai Jet
He's certainly been a very pleasant surprize. He seems quite comfortable at the plate and is giving the team consistant hits against all pitching. Let's hope it continues.
faba
The thing you have to like about him is he uses the whole field and does not try to pull every pitch- rare in a young player.
